We can move it if you want, don't you think Impy? Might make it less of a threat of a Holy War.

Dear MaskedBeauty,
I do not mean to get off the subject, but I just want ot clarify me opinion on Hell. My beliefs in Christianity, Jesus, the Bible, salvation, and Hell teaches that all "unsaved sinners" go to Hell, not just those who commit heinous crimes. If someone never accepted Jesus Christ as his or her personal saviour, then he or she is lost. John 3:16 says it all. No, I believe a lot of good citizens will be in Hell because they never accepted Jesus' salvation.
However, I do believe that many "damaged" people, such as the severely mentally handicapped, will be "saved" because they could never totally function mentally and spiritually. That is just like a baby going to Heaven because they are still "protected by the blood of the lamb. Nevertheless, only God knows the difference.
One last thing is that if you or anyone else has never accepted Christ, then you should think about it. Most people are theists (Believers in God or some supreme being), but they never made a conscious decision to follow Him. I think God will make a difference in your life. Take care, and God bless.

Agape,
Don

So I could go out murder, mame and kill for decades but accept Christ into my heart just before they march me to the gallows and I would go to Heaven but if I was a good person, treated others well in life, was charitable and honest but wasn't much into religion of any kind I would go to Hell because I never accepted Christ or any other "savior" into my heart? That's completely nuts

A question for you Don. What happend or will happen to all the Native Americans who lived here before we took over their land(with force, wickedness and wretchedness alot of times) that they had lived for 1,000s of years without knowing any kind of Christian God or Christ?

A whole nation of people are going to burn in Hell because they didn't want to convert to a religion that showed them nothing but violence, destruction and despair?

That doesn't make much sense to me

Hi! I'm new here. I just saw the movie and got interested in the real life story. I then read "Severed" and I agree with the original opinion of Mr. Gilmore in this thead. It's just too much to ask everyone to believe him without bibliography, notes, etc., and if Larry Harnisch is correct in saying that many of his sources have apparently left no trace in the public record and cannot be found, I guess that shows a good reason why Gilmore DIDN'T provide any supporting evidence. After reading the book and a couple of interviews, I formed an impression of him as a Norman-Mailerish figure, lesser in both writing skill and annoyingly self-indulgent hypermasculinism, but not any more to be taken as a factual crime writer.

That's a well worn statement that's usually preached by the "charismatics" the "Jehovah's Witnesses" and the so-called "born agains." There is a good bumper sticker that puts their preachings into a nutshell. It says,
JESUS SAVE ME FROM THE CHRISTIANS

That, my dear Impy, is called humility and I think that the ones who are SOOOOOO certain they are on their way are going to be surprised to find out that a bit of humility may have been a good thing. Wink
