The details about where her body was found and what the cornier found out after her body was taken to the crime lab, is enough to say that we could find the killer today if can find something that was found on her that could yeild DNA from the killer or killers.

Cause look at it this way, her body was not dumped into a river and if your in L.A. your also pretty close to the ocean. Her body was left in a very public place in plan view for everyone to see, so whoever killed her knew exacly how to get away with murder. 60 years has gone by and we haven't found Beth's killer, Jimmy Halfa is probily somewhere in Timbuck 2, and Jonbenny Ramsey's killer might still be hiding somewhere in Mexico, and God knows what really happen to George Reeves.

I know it's possible to find her killer and even if we so the SOB might be dead already, but I think as time goes on people are still not going to stop looking for the killer. As long as he ain't wearing a halloween mask and in a black hooded clock, he should be very easy to find.

A lot of murders still go unsolved, even with DNA. You'd have to take into consideration things like 'victim quality' and the status of the suspects.

If anyone has followed my post you will know that I believe there were probally an untold number of serial killers active at various times in history! In fact I believe there were more of these types of killers in the past than they are today. Thats why I say the good old days were not so good. The media just was not as much of a massive machine as it is today. The Television was rare to non-existant. But I keep reading every day about unsolved murders from the 20's 30's,40's and on up. Brutal crimes with no solution. I credit forensic science and technological advances for the reason we have fewer serial killers today. Many upstart serial killers never have the time to develop because they are stopped after the first or second kill. Why are they stopped? Because the first few kills are the ones they make the most mistakes on. They are sloppy, more prone to mistakes, and leave evidence, get nervous, lose their cool and bam they are caught. Also, no matter how experienced a killer is, the longer they kill the more likely they are to stumble over a long period of time. I mean todays killers don't have to leave finger prints. All they have to leave is a skin cell, a strand of hair, or one drop of body fluid and that could lead to their doom. I mean I lose hair just sitting in my chair and skin cells as well. That is why todays killers go to extraordinary means to prevent the body from being discovered at all. If no one knows then know one looks. Can I say a Beth Short type murder today would be absolutely solved? No! I will say the chances of solving a Beth Short style murder today are very good. I will go as far as to giving you my opinion. I believe a Beth Short style murder today would be solved! Yes they are unsolved murders today and yes forensic science has it's limits but, if their were a guage to measure by, I would bet a pay check that they are significantly less serial killers today than in the past and I bet the primary reason is technology and forensic science.

Was watching Nancy Grace the other day and she had various people some in the FBI some criminalogists saying that there are prob. up to 50 serial killers running loose right now in the U.S. Scary 2 even think about it...California actually has the most according to the guests on her show.

Now days the police and investigators are willing to make up evidence just to close a case and pin a person so that they can get recognition and move on with piece of mind.

Just a thought....

i wouldn't doubt that fact one bit. it wouldn't suprise me if they made up evidence against someone, just to scare them into admitting something.

The police can't help the fact that they is actualsome worse than the criminals. Power corrupts ... an absolute power corrupts absolutely. The police is always dumber than the criminal, so their only recourse is to lie, entrap, an use the power they're given to abuse the criminal howsomever they can.

i'm sure that's true for some, but on the other hand, police are humans too, and i'm sure that there are a handful of them who actually believe in justice and serving the public rather than being hypocrites. i know some police personally and can tell you that they aren't all bad, however, a agree that in some scenarios, some are indeed corrupt.

one honest question, no hostilities. did you create a user profile on this website to discuss beth's murder, or to bash the police?

I think tha two subjects go hand in hand. Tha police could never solve this murder because tha criminal was too smart for them. proves my point. Police is just plain out an simple dumb. D-U-M to tha damn B DUMB!

What, do you want me to delete all of their posts? That's about all i can do. If you have a bigger issue with MIZ (or JAWS or whomever the alter ego might belong to) i suggest you take it up with Pamela. She's the final arbiter.
