I purchased the book this fall when it came out. At that point, I had just finished BDA and was interested in learning more about Man Ray and the connections to the murder in his art. I was so interested, I have been scouring the Barnes and Nobles discount areas for a Man Ray book not specializing in the connections. There was one a bit back for $6 or so. Well worth 15 minutes of my pay any day. I brought the book to my art class and the kids were really interested. I just wish there was a way to say, "Yes. That is EXACTLY what the pose was about," or "No you morons Man Ray has nothing to do with it.....It is all about xxxxx." It is true, the more you read, the more you know and the more you do not know with this particular case. It frightens me how vivid my dreams are after reading about Beth in one way or another.

This book gave me nightmares. After reading about JAW's describing the murder & the disposal of her body I think making it something artistic is, well, off. The book is artistically inspiring though, because I was never a fan of surrealism before.

Got the book, was frightened/ intrigued/ and grossed out at the similarities and the idea that some body could have used a living woman as art before during and after her tourture and death. Was it photographed for an underground ring...I cant even begin to start the possibilities. Interesting though how the Dali paintings almost mirror The Body of E. Short when found.
